The Welsh Pony and Cob Society of Alberta was formed in 1973. Over the past thirty-five years, our main objectives have been to encourage and promote the Welsh Pony and Cob breed.
Many have delighted at the breeds’ versatility which has been displayed at Calgary Stampede, Spruce Meadows, many Breed Shows, family oriented activities, and informational clinics throughout the Province of Alberta.
Each year, in August, we host a two-day All Breed Pony Show which features a full slate of classes for all ages and skill levels. The 2007 show will be held at the Cochrane Ag. Society in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada.
Membership in the Welsh Pony and Cob Society has grown steadily. We now boast over 30 member families in Alberta comprised of Welsh Pony and Cob Breeders, Pony owners and just plain Welsh Pony LOVERS!
