Q.  What Items are not covered by my AEF insurance policy?

A.  Anytime, you are involved in a business transaction with your horse, your AEF insurance is invalid.

First was in regards to a breeding stallion. You can show or take part in any equine activity with the exception of breeding mares and your policy will cover you. However, because breeding mares in considered a business transaction, your policy isn't valid.

Trucking someone else's horse in another one to be aware of. If you charge them to haul, that is considered a business transaction and AEF insurance doesn't cover you.If you are doing it for a favour, you are covered.

The company listed below sells insurance to cover you for horse/business type relationships.

Further information can be obtained from Michael King at mking@aci.on.ca or their web site at www.intercityinsurance.com
